About AFMA

The American Family of Modern Arnis is a community dedicated to spreading the Filipino Martial Art of Modern Arnis.

 

We provide a platform for Modern Arnis students and instructors to connect, find mentors, get instructor certification, learn about seminars and camps, and discover how to start their own Modern Arnis training group or school.

 

Our mission is to promote the art of Modern Arnis and foster a supportive and inclusive community for practitioners of all levels.

AFMA is guided by the Roundtable of Modern Arnis, a collection of original students of the founder of Modern Arnis, Remy A. Presas.  It is the Roundtable that determines the core curricula offered by AFMA members, certifies instructors, and issues rank certificates.

AFMA is a non-profit and governed by a board of directors.
