We have a discussion board by AFMA members, for AFMA members. Boards include general discussion, Instructor discussion, Members helping Members, and more! You don't have to be active in social media in order to stay connected to AFMA!
Support for starting up a training group / program / school
Trying to get your own Modern Arnis group off the ground? At AFMA, we want to help you as much as we can! We will connect you directly to people who've done what you want to do, whether it's a training group in the park, a Modern Arnis class at an existing martial arts school, getting Modern Arnis program launched at a community center, or starting your own stand-alone Modern Arnis school. However you want to train, we've got members who can help.
Mentorship with a direct student of Remy Presas
AFMA members include many people who trained under Remy Presas (more than just attending camps and seminars - actual real students who trained and studied closely with Professor across the country and the world). AFMA can connect you to these students to expand your connection with the art and its founder.
Discounted AFMA-sponsored events
AFMA members get 5% - 15% standard discounts on AFMA-sponsored events, seminars, and camps.
Modern Arnis Evolution Content
AFMA members get access to the structured Evolution Curriculum of Modern Arnis, which includes suggested ranking, organization, and access to instruction videos on each element of the curriculum.
Free / Priority Listing in our AFMA Event Calendar
All AFMA members can list their Modern Arnis events, camps, and seminars on our event calendar on our website. For Individual members, this includes a description and contact info. Instructors and Black Belts get priority listing with a description, event links (like Facebook events) and payment links.
Lead Generation/Distribution
Instructor/Black Belt level members will receive leads generated from our social media network and our web site. This will include contact name, contact info, and any other information we have.
AFMA-Sold Merchandise Discount
AFMA members will get a 10%-15%-20% discount (depending on membership level) on all merchandise sold on our website and at AFMA-sponsored events.
Modern Arnis Online Training
AFMA members can attend free online Modern Arnis training events held by AFMA.
Other Online Instruction
AFMA members at the Instructor/Black Belt level can attend free webinars on the use of social media tools, the basics of building a website for your training group, and other topics to help our members run a successful Modern Arnis training group, program, or school. Others can attend for a nominal fee (determined per instructional event).
